<reviewbody>Glad to be able to serve this one up for archive.org (etree).. One of the best Calexico shows in our archives. It was partially broadcast originally, but this is the first complete - prefm version to circulate (plus properly mastered). Enjoy this with the bands blessing!

<reviewbody>This is what a "matrix" recording should sound like. For my taste most matrix recordings wind up with a little too much audience and not enough SBD.
The performance on this show is top notch showing Calexico at the top of their game.
The quality of this show would be comparable to an official release. (IMHO)
If you are a fan you will love this recording and if you are not, you will be. Check it out.
Calexico is one of the most genuine and creative acts to creep onto my radar screen in a long time.
Thanks to P3 Live for providing the source and thanks to Jim & the band for setting this show free.

<reviewbody>I was lucky enough to attend this show, and I have previously enjoyed a shorter version of this recording that was broadcast by P3 Live in Sweden.
This full version is even better in every aspect though.
Thank you P3, Jim and Calexico for making this available. It's perfect!

<reviewbody>Being from Arizona, this one holds a special place for me. Memories of home while living away. This is a terrific recording. As previously stated, the setlist is great, featuring a wide range from their releases. The sound is top-notch as well. Crystal clear but with the added "ambience' of an AUD recording. I can't recommend this show enough! If you've never heard Calexico before, this is a great place to start.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I have seen them play live several times. Their studio albums are fantastic, mind-expanding, genre-bending experiences (oh yeah, and his lyrics are among the best). But LIVE they take on a whole new dimension. Jazz... mariachi... pop... Spaghetti Western soundtrack... folk... country... all swirled together. This show displays that perfectly. And the sound quality is excellent.

This concert is such a treat. I am so delighted to own a LIVE calexico show. Thanks to the taper. Thanks to the archive!</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>The whole run of April 2003 shows in Europe by Calexico are great. This one, in particular, has a clean balance courtesy of Blackwood, and the musicians (the real stars) hit nary a wrong note. Joey in particular has good lungs on this one.

Highlights are "Across the Wire," "Close Behind," and "Guero Canelo".

Download and enjoy.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>Before I heard this performance I was a peripheral fan of Calexico. I kinda liked their album "The Blacklight", but thought their most recent album "Feast of Wire" was a bit lifeless. The reccomendations for this show were glowing, so I thought I'd give it a try. WOAH! This is great stuff! A truly spirited performance. The vocals are SO much stronger than the album and the playing has such a fiery spark. I am not exaggerating when I say I have listened to this performance at least 50 times in the last 6 months. I cant get enough of it. The quality of the recording is astounding. It is rich with subtlety and detail. Worthy of official live album release.
What more can I say? Even if you only like this band a little bit, DOWNLOAD IT!!!</reviewbody>
